With Reed’s very generous support, ONE Inc. Turns out that beginning in the early 1960s, Reed was the money behind the organization that published ONE, ONE Inc. Reed Erickson was a trans man with a big checkbook and a pet leopard named Henry. I paid so little attention to that name that I didn’t recall ever hearing it until MGH’s executive producer Sara Burningham told me about Reed’s central role in the 1960s gay and trans rights movement as we were planning the episode lineup for Season Four.
